On behalf of Prof Laurent Kaiser, we are pleased to invite you to the 32nd Challenge in Infectious Diseases in Engelberg.
Scientific programme
The Scientific Committee has compiled an exciting programme with excellent speakers.

Programme updates will be published on the SAFE-ID website and communicated to all participants before the seminar.
Registration
Please register as soon as possible. If your journey is long (Geneva, Graubünden especially), please feel free to choose option 1 on top. This includes one extra night from Thursday, including dinner. To maintain the spirit of the meeting, the organisers would like participants to stay until Sunday. If you wish to leave on Saturday, please let us know and make sure to check out before noon. There is no discount for early departures.
Accompanying persons, children permitted again
The SAFE-ID Board decided that accompanying persons and children are welcome as well. All additional cost for accompanying persons and children is charged to the main participant. Capacity for children sleeping with their parents is limited in all hotel categories.
About Engelberg
As last year, we will be using the brand new meeting room at the historic Kursaal, and participants will stay in the same four hotels as last year. All hotels are 5 minutes walking distance maximum from the Kursaal and the railway station. We have the same two 3-star and two 4-star hotels as in 2022; participants choose their category at registration. We will allocate rooms on our side and inform participants before the meeting.
Breakfast will be served in the respective hotel, lunch will be at the Kursaal itself, and dinner will be at the Bellevue-Terminus hotel for everybody.
Participants arriving on Thursday Jun 8
Please join at 19:30 for a welcome dinner for speakers, SAFE-ID & SSI Boards, the Scientific Board and invited participants arriving earlier. Please plan to arrive in Engelberg on June 8 2023, no later than 18:53.
Participants arriving Friday Jun 9 by train
To arrive on time, participants need to take the IR departing from Lucerne at 09:10 from track 13. Depending on the weather situation, this train can be full with hikers. To make sure everybody arrives on time, there will be a Challenge meeting extra bus leaving 09:15 from the main bus station. If interested, book option 7, free of charge.
