Invitation: 30th Challenge in Virology, January 24 – 26, 2020

Dear SSI Board members,

We are pleased to invite you to the 29th Challenge in Virology in Grindelwald.

Scientific programme
The Scientific Committee has compiled an exciting programme with excellent speakers.

Programme updates will be published on the SAFE-ID website and communicated to all participants before the seminar. 

Registration
We are inviting you to register first – please do so as soon as possible. This helps us testing the waters before opening to the invited participants. For SSI Board members, registration is free of charge. Important: your package automatically covers 3 nights, from Thursday to Sunday.

Optional reservations (accompanying persons, children)
Please enter your preferences during the registration process. Except option 1, all options with a charge will be billed by the hotel at check-out. Available options & prices: see below. You can add or modify options at later stage, but preferably not after December 31, 2019. Please note that charges for accompanying persons and children represent full cost. We are not allowed to subsidise participants’ partners and children. Please do not contact the hotel yourself.

SSI Board programme
The programme for SSI Board members starts on Thursday Jan 23 2020 at 16:15 with the SSI Board meeting. You should arrive by train at 15:38 in Grindelwald latest. 
There will be finger food on arrival.

Please join at 19:30 for a welcome dinner for speakers, SAFE-ID & SSI Boards, the Scientific Board and invited participants arriving earlier. Please plan to arrive in Grindelwald on January 23 2020, no later than 18:38.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Grindelwald.

All options must be booked via the online registration process. Except for option 1, the Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald will charge chosen options directly to the participants at check out.

Option 3: Accompanying person standard seminar, Friday to Sunday

Option 4: Accompanying child below 18 years
Seminar duration, sharing room with parents
Per child from 6 to 18 years, sharing room with parents. Children menus apply. 1 bed for children per room and very limited capacity with 2 beds for children per room. Please register number of children.

Cancellation policy
In case of cancellation, fees minus 75 CHF handling charges will be refunded, provided the cancellation is made by e-mail by December 31, 2019 / 12:00 CET latest to the SAFE-ID Secretariat (secretary@safe-id.ch). 
No refund is made for cancellations arriving after Dec 31, 2019 12:00 CET. 
Participants accept the provisions by completing registration.
